Apples are one of the most popular foods to take for lunches. So, it's no surprise that one of the most common questions asked is how to stop apples from browning in a lunch box?

Citrus juice: Squeeze some lemon, lime, orange or pineapple juice over the apple slices and toss them lightly to coat. This will add some tangy flavor and prevent oxidation. Store the apple slices in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Salt water: Dissolve half a teaspoon of salt in a cup of water and soak the apple slices for 3 to 5 minutes. This will not affect the taste of the apples, but will slow down the browning process. Drain the apple slices and store them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Is there an Australian lunch box?

To our knowledge there are no lunch boxes made in Australia. Almost all fabrication of stainless steel and glass containers happens in Asia. There is a little plastic manufacturing done in Australia, so there could be some Australian made plastic containers.
